Happy Harford County homemaker claims payout
A 7-spot Keno play delivered a $50,000 win to a happy Harford County homemaker, whose love of the game is shared by her husband of more than 20 years.
“We play occasionally, but have never won anything like this,” said the husband. “I couldn’t believe it when she called me. What a great phone call to receive!”
The 47-year-old homemaker bought the 7-spot ticket at the MacPhail Exxon for only one drawing. She matched all seven numbers, which would typically lead to a $2,500 win. But, for this game, the lucky lady spent $20 on the drawing to generate the $50,000 win.
The residents of the town of Street, Md., plan to spend their prize paying off bills and taking a nice vacation. For selling the ticket, the Exxon station located at 600 W. MacPhail Road in Bel Air will receive a $500 bonus. Keno games take place every four minutes and can be played at Maryland Lottery retailers across the state.
