Baltimore Man Wins $30,000 Playing Twisted Treasures Scratch-Off
When asked what he was going to do with his winnings, much like a Superbowl MVP, a $30,000 scratch-off winner said, “I’m going to Disney World.” The 62-year-old grandfather and great grandfather said he has never been to the amusement park and plans to take some of his grandkids with him.
Smiling nervously, the winner came to Lottery Headquarters today to claim a $30,000 prize he won on the Twisted Treasures scratch-off ticket. A close friend purchased the ticket for him about a week ago, while also getting herself some.
The retired Sam’s Club employee, scratched the ticket that night revealing the $30,000, but was not convinced of the win until after his friend verified it for him. “I was jumping all around the house,” he said “I don’t ever win anything.”
In addition to the Disney trip, the modest winner said he will also give to his church, pay some bills and then treat himself. The winning ticket was purchased at the Tobacco Stop located at 400 W. Lexington Street in Baltimore.
