An avid Maryland Lottery player is happy he stopped to purchase Lottery tickets on his way to work last week. The Harford County man matched four numbers plus the Powerball on his Powerball ticket, making him $10,000 richer.
A week after the drawing, the Home Depot employee found the ticket in his wallet and realized he never checked the numbers. “I went to the store, and the retailer said it was too big of a win to cash,” said the winner. Next, he and his brother checked the numbers on the Lottery’s website and found out how much he won. When they realized it was a $10,000 third-tier win, they became very excited and proceeded to Lottery headquarters to claim the prize.
