All but Luck on the Fritz – Lottery Winnings to Help with Repair Bills

Gwynn Oak Healthcare worker wins $30,000 with Lucky Lines scratch-off

Around a month ago when a Gwynn Oak resident was swimming in various repair bills, she only dreamed of winning the Lottery. Her luck panned out several weeks later when she discovered a $30,000 Lucky Lines scratch-off top prize.

“A lot of things went wrong at the same time,” she explained. “My car went up, my television went up, the fridge and even the water heater.” The 71-year-old had been dealing with stacks of repair bills when she reached for a familiar pick-me-up, a Maryland Lottery scratch-off.

Not long after she began scratching her ticket, the woman knew her ticket was a winner. The healthcare worker watched in shock as she revealed one zero, then two, then three. The zeroes kept appearing until she arrived at the top prize of $30,000. “I thanked God and started crying. This is a blessing,” said the winner.

The prize winnings will help the lucky woman recover from a litany of unexpected repair costs and help her continue her home improvements. The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-11, located at 620 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville.
