Anne Arundel County Man Wins $50,000 Rose Gold Black Prize

Claims first of five $50,000 second-tier prizes available on $30 scratch-off

A twice-lucky Pasadena man just scratched off the first $50,000 prize on the Rose Gold Black scratch-off, finding his big win on his commute home. The happy homeowner already has designs for these dollars, telling Maryland Lottery officials that the win will bankroll several remodeling projects that are in the works.

The 45-year-old is no stranger to Lottery luck, having won a sizable scratch-off prize just one year ago. Those funds helped him purchase the home he’s now renovating.

His latest brush with Lady Luck happened at Saint Paul Mini Mart, which is located at 815 St. Paul Street in Baltimore. The Anne Arundel County resident bought the $30 game and, after returning to his vehicle, quickly scratched off the instant ticket and scanned it using his Lottery smartphone app. The lucky player was delighted to discover that he had won one of the game’s five $50,000 second-tier prizes.

“I called my wife on the phone and told her that our projects were paid for,” explained the winner.

Could a Rose Gold Black prize be in your future, too? The game, which went on sale in February, features five $2 million prizes and thousands of others ranging from $30 to $50,000.
