Elkton is a lucky location for FAST PLAY Chili Pepper Payout players. A second Maryland Lottery retailer in this Cecil County town sold the second jackpot-winning ticket in the game on Wednesday, May 26. A lucky player won $129,198!
The $5 ticket was sold at Royal Farms #101 located at 1199 East Pulaski Highway. Chili Pepper Payout offers a progressive jackpot that starts at $40,000 and rises with each ticket purchased until someone buys a progressive jackpot-winning ticket. The game’s first progressive jackpot was hit on Feb. 4 at Wawa #8512 located at 302 Pulaski Highway in Elkton.
Maryland Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. Winners get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.
The big winner can claim the prize by mail, in person by appointment or by dropping off the claim form and winning ticket at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore. Chili Pepper Payout is one of 18 FAST PLAY games available for purchase. Players can try to win its 17 remaining progressive jackpot prizes, 36 $5,000 prizes and more than 1.1 million other prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000.
The lucky retailer also shares in the fun. The Royal Farms store on East Pulaski Highway will receive a bonus of $1,000 from the Lottery for selling a progressive jackpot-winning ticket worth $100,000 or more.
