Change of game gives her a big win
A loyal scratch-off player caught a big break when her favorite instant tickets were sold out. Faced with a variety of choices, the lucky Catonsville woman selected one of the $10 The Price is Right® scratch-offs and now has a $100,000 fortune.
The 67-year-old plays Maryland Lottery scratch-offs several times a week. She normally buys her games at Wawa in Baltimore. After purchasing her second-choice instant ticket, she went to the car to scratch it off.
“I couldn’t believe what I saw,” the happy winner said. She then asked her husband to take a look. Afterward, he replied, “This is too good to be true.” They went back inside Wawa and scanned the scratch-off to verify the $100,000 top-prize win.
This is the Baltimore County resident’s biggest Lottery payday. She and her husband plan to use their winnings to pay off bills and for travel.
The lucky lady isn’t the only one who wins! For selling the $100,000 top-prize winning ticket, Wawa #598 at 2845 Rolling Road in Baltimore will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
The Price is Right® scratch-off game launched on April 22, 2019. There are still 10 remaining $100,000 prizes, and 13 remaining $50,000 prizes waiting to be found at Lottery retailers across the state. If you have a non-winning The Price is Right® scratch-off, make sure you enter it into the second-chance promotion for a chance to win up to $100,000. For details, visit mdlottery.com/thepriceisright.
