Baltimore City Retailer Sells $50,000 Winning Bonus Match 5 Ticket

Lucky ticket sold in June 27 drawing

A lucky Bonus Match 5 player enjoyed a red-hot top-prize win this past weekend. The Maryland Lottery is looking for the player holding the $50,000 winning ticket from the Saturday, June 27 drawing.

Gruner’s Liquor & Food Market at 101-103 North Monastery in Baltimore sold the winning ticket, which matches the five numbers of 16, 27, 28, 33 and 37; the Bonus Ball was 21.

Lottery officials recommend the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.

The winner can claim the prize by mail or in person by scheduling an appointment at the Lottery Customer Resource Center. Get details on how to claim by mail here or schedule an appointment here.

This is our 39th top-prize-winning Bonus Match 5 ticket of 2020.

Gruner’s Liquor & Food Market also has reason to celebrate! The Lottery will give the Baltimore City store a bonus of $500 for selling the lucky ticket.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
