Scratches winning Maximum Jackpot instant ticket
An 81-year-old great-grandmother and her daughter took an unexpected trip to Maryland Lottery headquarters today to claim a $10,000 Maximum Jackpot scratch-off prize. The Perry Hall resident purchased the $10 scratch-off this morning at a 7-Eleven in Baltimore.
“I was with my daughter and decided to cash in another ticket,” said the retiree. “I scratched this ticket while I was at the store, and when I saw ‘Win All,’ I couldn’t believe it!”
After adding up the 25 prizes on the ticket and realizing her scratch-off was worth $10,000, the excited winner asked the clerk at the store to scan the ticket.
“I knew it was real when the message on the machine read that I had to take it to Lottery headquarters to claim,” she said. Although the winner does not have any plans for spending her prize yet, she may use some of it toward an already-planned trip to Las Vegas later this year.
7-Eleven #26753, where she found her lucky ticket, is located at 8601 Honeygo Blvd. in Baltimore. In addition to hundreds of thousands of unclaimed prizes of $10 to $1,000, the Maximum Jackpot game still has five unclaimed $100,000 top prizes and 17 more $10,000 prizes.
