Claims $14,919.80 prize on Racetrax Superfecta Box bet
After much praying, a Windsor Mill woman got a feeling that she should play Maryland Lottery games again. The 59-year-old had taken a break because she didn’t like how the game numbers were coming out.
After receiving divine inspiration, however, the Baltimore County resident visited her favorite retailer to play Racetrax and saw her luck change for the better. “Grace Blessed Me,” as she nicknamed herself for Lottery publicity, is still celebrating a $14,919.80 win on a 20-draw Superfecta Box wager. The grateful woman bought her Racetrax ticket at 2 Go Convenience & Deli located at 9016 Washington Boulevard in Savage. It wasn’t until an hour later in her office that she learned of her Lottery luck.
“Grace Blessed Me” checked the ticket several times using the Lottery app on her phone to confirm the win. The happy winner said she got down on her knees to thank the heavens for her prize. “I believe that things come to me so that I can help others,” she said.
This is her third big win. The second one came about two years ago when “Grace Blessed Me” won $61,000 playing Racetrax. She’s happy to once again be able to help others in need. The small-business owner also plans to use these winnings for a 60th birthday trip and to boost savings for her grandchildren.
Her lucky retailer also shares in the fun of her win. The Howard County retailer, 2 Go Convenience & Deli located at 9016 Washington Boulevard, earns a bonus of $149.19 from the Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
