Wins $50,000 Playing Aces High Instant Game
After 30 years working as an investigator for several State agencies, Robert Bradford has earned his relaxation time. He enjoys playing Lottery games during his down time, buying tickets two or three times a week. Yesterday was one of those times, and the Baltimore man’s timing could not have been better! He can thank his appetite for a $50,000 scratch-off win.
“I was out running errands for my wife and started getting hungry,” Robert said. “I stopped for a snack and grabbed some scratch-off tickets while I was there. I played them in the car as I ate.”
What he saw while scratching the Aces High ticket made the hungry man put down his food. “I saw a $5,000 win almost as soon as I started scratching,” he said. “I was stunned, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”
Robert was about to call his wife when he took a closer look at the ticket he was scratching off. He spotted more zeros. “They just kept coming!”
That’s when he made the phone call home. “I told my wife and she thought I was joking. It wasn’t until I got home and showed her the ticket that she believed it,” he said. She sent her husband to Lottery headquarters immediately to claim his prize.
“She was worried that I’d lose the ticket if I hung onto it too long,” he said.
The Bradford’s have not decided how this $50,000 win will fit into their lives, but Robert is sure that his four grandchildren will benefit in some way. His lucky lottery store is the Inner Harbor Exxon station at 1800 Russell Street in Baltimore.
