Baltimore Retailer Sells $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Ticket

12th top-tier ticket sold in 2015

Who just won $50,000? One of our Bonus Match 5 players, that’s who! The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player holding a $50,000 winning ticket from the Tuesday, April 21 drawing. The player bought the winning ticket from the Mars Super Market #04 at 9613 Harford Road in Baltimore.

This is the 12th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in 2015 and matches the five numbers of 1, 7, 14, 21 and 24; the Bonus Ball was 9. Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The winner has 182 days to claim the prize and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

Here’s another bit of luck – this win occurred during the Lottery’s Bonus Match 5 Doubler and Taxes Paid promotions running through April 26. Winning tickets with “Doubler” printed on them pay $100,000 rather than $50,000 for the top prize. And, taxes are paid on all winning tickets of $50,000 or $100,000!

The retailer is also a winner; the Lottery will give the store a bonus of $500 for selling the lucky ticket.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
