Baltimore Sells $1 Million Winning Powerball Ticket

Jackpot rolls, seven states have second-tier winners

Some lucky Maryland Powerball player is $1 million richer this morning, just in time to enjoy a major Labor Day weekend celebration. The Maryland Lottery is seeking the person who bought a winning second-tier ticket for the Wednesday, Aug. 27 drawing. Check your numbers if you bought your ticket at the 7-Eleven #21054 at 5920 Pulaski Highway in Baltimore.

The lucky ticket matched all five white balls, missing only the Power Ball number. The winning numbers are 17, 24, 26, 45, 46 and Power Ball 19. No one won the jackpot, which rolled to $90 million with a $54.9 million cash option for the Saturday, Aug. 30 drawing.

This latest $1 million win is the 10th $1 million second-tier Powerball win in Maryland this year. The July 16 second-tier winning ticket bought at Tucker’s Liquors in Clinton is still unclaimed.

For selling the ticket, the retailer receives a $2,500 bonus. The winner has 182 days to claim the prize in person at Lottery headquarters, located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
