Baltimore Woman Passes Go and Collects $10,000

Takes home top prize on $2 Monopoly scratch-off

257-$2-Monopoly-ITVMWhile waiting for her carryout dinner order, a Baltimore receptionist decided to run next door to Bunny’s Liquors and purchase some Maryland Lottery scratch-offs. One of the tickets was a $2 Monopoly scratch-off, which turned out to be a great choice.

The 53-year-old scratched the instant ticket off in the store, and couldn’t believe she matched a number with a $10,000 prize.

“I was so nervous,” said the occasional Lottery winner. “I didn’t think it was real. I thought someone was playing a joke on me.”

After grabbing her fish dinner, the excited mom went home. The happy winner plans to put some of her prize toward a new car she recently purchased. The lucky Lottery retailer, Bunny’s Liquors, is located at 2217 North Fullton St. in Baltimore.

The $2 Monopoly ticket is part of a family of Monopoly scratch-offs: There are also $1, $5, $10 and $20 instant tickets on sale with many prizes remaining. The $2 game has one more $10,000 top prize remaining along with seven $1,000 prizes.
