Life is full of firsts such as a first tooth, a first job and a first car. For 20-year-old Amanda Briscoe, she can now add her first cruise to the list. She became the most recent Maryland Lottery player to win an instant cruise with the Cruise for Cash scratch-off, and she can thank her boyfriend Mark for that. That’s because 23-year-old Mark was the one who purchased the ticket for Amanda.
The couple mentioned that a wedding could be on the horizon in the near future and they are looking forward to taking their first cruise together. The winning ticket was purchased at Patterson Park Pharmacy, located at 2245 Eastern Avenue in Baltimore City.
Partnering with Royal Caribbean International, the Maryland Lottery launched Cruise for Cash on January 10, 2011. The $5 scratch-off is the first of its kind for the Maryland Lottery and features seven $50,000 instant top prizes, as well as 31 instant seven-night cruise vacations for two, departing from Florida with a premium ocean view balcony stateroom; first class round-trip airfare- for-two to Florida; deluxe premium hotel accommodations for two for the night prior to cruise departure, $1,000 onboard credit and $500 spending money.
