Takes Home $100,000 Top Prize
After winning a few dollars last week while playing Pick 3, a 68-year-old Baltimore woman decided to purchase a few scratch-offs. One of those tickets was a Platinum Cash $100,000 top-prize winner.
As soon at the woman saw she had a winning ticket, she began worrying about how she would keep the ticket safe until she had the opportunity to claim it.
“I was just in total shock,” she said. “I kept worrying that something was going to happen to the house and we would lose the ticket.”
The lucky winner, who is a school teacher, said she would love to donate some of the money to her school. “My husband and I really don’t need much in the way of things. It feels good to help others.” She also said that she would give some money to her children. The winning Platinum Cash scratch-off ticket was purchased at Jack’s Fine Food on Kenwood Avenue in Baltimore.
