A $10,000 Ravens scratch-off win gives Baltimore resident Anna Peace a peaceful feeling.

Home healthcare provider wins big on $5 Ravens game

As a home healthcare provider, Anna Peace of Baltimore knows that a helping hand is always welcome. The 70-year-old learned last week that her helping hands are also great for selecting a $10,000 winning Maryland Lottery scratch-off!

Anna purchased a $5 Ravens instant ticket during a quick stop at Lottery retailer McLellan Liquors in Baltimore. She scratched off the instant ticket in her car, first revealing the “scores” on the football-themed ticket. When one of the scores said, “WIN,” she happily uncovered the $10,000 prize.

The scratch-off player took up her new vocation after 34 years of bookkeeping for a machine shop. She plans to surprise her husband with news of the win, which she said will make living expenses easier for the retired couple. They may use a portion of the prize to travel to a summer family reunion, she added.

Her lucky Baltimore County Lottery retailer is located at 6320 Sherwood Road in Baltimore. The $5 Ravens scratch-off features three unclaimed $100,000 top prizes, four unclaimed $50,000 prizes and five more $10,000 prizes along with thousands of prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000. The $2 and $5 Ravens scratch-offs offer players a second-chance contest with prizes of $10,000 cash, 2017 Ravens season tickets and finalist status for the prize of season tickets for 20 years.
