Baltimore Woman’s Lottery Omen Leads to Racetrax Win

Claimed $25,831.50 prize on Trifecta Box wager

A lucky Baltimore woman who found a penny on the ground took that as a clear sign that she should play a Lottery game. She put her money on Racetrax to deliver a big win and it did, giving her a $25,831.50 prize.

The 80-year-old visited the 7 Star Convenience Store located at 3201 W. North Ave in Baltimore. She placed a $.50 Trifecta Box bet on horses 7, 11 and 12 and then added the Bonus multiplier. Minutes later, while still in the store, the winner learned of her Lottery luck but didn’t let anyone know her wager had a huge payoff.

“I just kept it all to myself,” the happy winner said. She’s been retired for nearly 15 years and said she has no immediate plans for her winnings.

Her lucky Baltimore City retailer, 7 Star Convenience Store, earns a bonus of $258.31 for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
