Baseball fans and Lottery fans alike are gearing up for the start of the 2020 Major League Baseball season on July 23. Maryland Lottery players have been entering FAST PLAY tickets since March 16 into the Contestant of the Game second-chance promotion tied to games played by our hometown Orioles team.
The Lottery will select two Contestants of the Game for each of the proposed 60 Orioles games, for a total of 120 winners throughout the abbreviated regular season. Each winner will receive $500 just for being selected, and an additional $500 for every Orioles home run hit during that game. More than $187,000 was awarded to Contestants of the Game during the 2019 baseball season.
Drawings will take place July 21, Aug. 11 and Sept. 1. Entries are cumulative and carry over to the next drawing if not selected.
To enter, players can submit any winning or non-winning FAST PLAY tickets, purchased between March 16 and Aug. 31, into their My Lottery Rewards account. Here’s how it works:
- $1 ticket = 1 entry
- $2 ticket = 2 entries
- $3 ticket = 3 entries
- $5 ticket = 5 entries
- $10 ticket = 10 entries
