Bingo Fan Relaxing After Big Win on Lucky Bucks Bingo Game

Temple Hills woman wins $30,000 on extended-play game

256-Lucky-Bucks-Bingo-ITVM_P2-orangeA 52-year-old Temple Hills woman who enjoys playing bingo-style scratch-offs is still basking in the glow of a $30,000 Lucky Bucks Bingo win.

She favors the Maryland Lottery’s bingo-style games, she said, because they are relaxing to play and she can take her time doing so. In fact, the Prince George’s County resident can thank Lottery luck and a stressful day for her big win. Two weeks ago, while stressed out, she bought three Lucky Bucks Bingo scratch-offs in hopes of blowing off some steam and relaxing. She played the $2 games in Central Avenue Liquors in Capitol Heights and there was nothing relaxing about what happened next. The third scratch-off revealed the game’s $30,000 top prize!

“I knew right away, it was a winner,” said the excited player. “I just fell to my knees, I was so happy.” She told Lottery officials she had to rest a few minutes and catch her breath before going back to work. “I thought I would pass out,” said the fortunate woman. “This is truly amazing and I am thankful.”

When the mother of three calmed down, she returned to her job as a store manager. She couldn’t keep the news to herself, however, so she texted her oldest daughter about the win. Later that day, she also told her two youngest children about her good fortune.

The happy woman said her prize comes at the right time. She plans to use some of it to move into an apartment and the rest will go to pay bills. She also plans to continue playing the bingo-style games for fun and relaxation.

Our winner claimed the first $30,000 top prize on the Lucky Bucks Bingo game. There are still three additional top prizes remaining along with two $10,000 prizes and about 350,000 prizes of $2 and up. Also a lucky winner is the Capitol Heights retailer that sold her top-prize ticket in the game. Central Avenue Liquors located at 6115 Central Avenue earns a $300 bonus from the Lottery.
