Baltimore resident Joseph Parker celebrates his $50,000 Bonus Match 5 win!

Baltimore City maintenance worker nabs $50,000 prize

Joseph Parker, a fabricator for Baltimore City’s maintenance division, celebrated his $50,000 Bonus Match 5 win when he hoisted his over sized Lottery check. The Bonus Match 5 aficionado had tried several methods for picking lucky numbers, but his winning numbers ended up coming from a Redline Bingo scratch-off, giving Joseph his largest prize to date.

The 50-year-old had tried several methods before, such as selecting his winning numbers from vehicle tag numbers, his old Army unit and even personal identification numbers. His most recent method only took two weeks until it paid off.

Joseph was startled when he checked the winning numbers on his phone last week and saw that he matched all five of his Bonus Match 5 numbers. “I had to check them twice,” said Parker. “I looked at the ticket once without my glasses and then again with them.” Still not trusting himself, Joseph took his ticket back to the store to have them check. Sure enough, he had a winner on his hands.

The Baltimore City resident says the winnings will help him and his wife with bills, but noted that he did not yet have major plans for the winnings. The winning ticket was purchased from the Irvington Osprey gas station located on Frederick Ave. in Baltimore.
