Longtime Baltimore County player wins in Aug. 29 drawing
Just last month, a faithful Maryland Lottery player had a winning ticket of hefty proportions on his hands. The Aug. 29 Powerball drawing gave the Phoenix man a $50,000 prize for matching 4 out of 5 numbers and the Powerball.
With this win coming from a quick pick ticket, luck was truly on our 74-year-old player’s side that day. The Baltimore County resident claimed his windfall this week at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
His ticket to his big win was sold by 7-Eleven #19925 located at 14215 Jarrettsville Pike in Phoenix. Congratulations to this lucky Lottery retailer, too. In 2020, the Lottery has seen 29 $50,000 winning Powerball tickets sold.
Although summer is coming to a close, the hot wins from the Maryland Lottery aren’t going to stop any time soon. Powerball, for example, has a jackpot prize of $94 million up for grabs in the Wednesday, Sept. 16 drawing. The cash option is $75.1 million. In addition to all of the Lottery’s current offerings, players can try their luck with four new FAST PLAY games available on Monday, Sept. 14 and five new scratch-offs coming to Lottery retailers on Monday, Sept. 21.
