Claims $25,001 on Maryland Lottery Keno to Go package
A Gaithersburg blues musician who always picks his own numbers when playing the Maryland Lottery’s Keno game won a prize of note Sunday. The loyal, lifelong Keno player won $25,001 on a 10-spot, 20-draw ticket by selecting a run of numbers from 71 to 80.
The 83-year-old retiree won $26,000 many years ago, he said, but hasn’t won a prize of this size lately. He plans to put this win in the bank and play more Keno games.
To play packaged Keno To Go, a player buys 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 games for 25 cents per game. Players can watch the drawings wherever and whenever they wish and try for prizes ranging from 25 cents to $25,000.
The Montgomery County resident bought his winning ticket at a Montgomery County retailer, the Exxon at 18000 Georgia Avenue in Olney.
