Boating Enthusiast Fishing for Keno Prize Wins $25,000

Places winning 7-spot bet at Dundalk restaurant

A Pennsylvania man who spends weekends boating along Maryland’s waterways dropped anchor at a Dundalk establishment awash with Lottery luck.

The lucky father of two sat down to enjoy a few games of Keno at Scoozi’s Family Restaurant, which is one of several places he visits to play his favorite Lottery game. To his surprise, the loyal Keno player netted a $25,000 Keno win with his 7-spot bet! He remained so quiet while watching the winning numbers appear that none of the other customers had a clue about his win.

“I’ve played the same numbers for years and I’ve never seen all seven numbers come up,” he said. The 61-year-old picked his winning numbers – 3, 5, 7, 17, 27, 42 and 75 – years ago “for all different reasons.”

This happy winner noted that the prize beats his previous Keno record of $12,000. A resident of Lancaster County, he plans to share some of his prize with his adult children.

The Baltimore County retailer will also share in the fun. Scoozi’s Family Restaurant, located at 7625 German Hill Road in Dundalk, will receive a $250 bonus from the Lottery for selling a winning Keno ticket valued at $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
