Bonus Match 5 Winners Have Big Weekend

$50,000 winner Saturday in Glen Burnie; $100,000 winner  Sunday in Temple Hills

What a winner of a weekend! The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky players who won top prizes playing Bonus Match 5 in the Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7, drawings.

Chesapeake Liquors, located at 6720 Governor Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, sold a $50,000-winning ticket in the May 6 drawing. The lucky ticket matches the five winning numbers of 1, 7, 9, 10 and 15; the Bonus Ball was 36.

Kim’s Liquors, located at 3223 Brinkley Road in Temple Hills, sold a winning ticket that had two lines of numbers that matched the winning numbers in the May 7 drawing: 9, 20, 21, 22 and 23; the Bonus Ball was 13. The lucky player holding that ticket is a $100,000 winner!

Lottery officials urge each winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The winners have 182 days after the date of the drawing to claim the prize and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

The retailers are also winners. Chesapeake Liquors in Glen Burnie will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning ticket for May 6. Kim’s Liquors in Temple Hills will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket with two top-tier wins in the May 7 drawing.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
