Bowie Man Becomes Millionaire in Time for Holiday Fun

Wins top prize on $20 scratch-off

A Prince George’s County man got a real bang for his buck by playing a Maryland Lottery Money Explosion scratch-off. The $20 instant ticket he purchased recently at T&T Liquors in Bowie delivered a $1 million win.

The Bowie resident claimed the second of seven $1 million top prizes in the game, which still has six unclaimed $50,000 prizes and 78 $10,000 prizes awaiting discovery. The Money Explosion scratch-off launched in July.

The anonymous winner claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters on Nov. 29. T&T Liquors has reason to celebrate as well. For selling a $1 million top-prize winning scratch-off, the Bowie business located at 13801 Annapolis Road earned a bonus of $1,000 from the Lottery.
