Boyds Man Speechless Over $50,000 Black Scratch-off Win

Takes home second-level prize on Maryland Lottery game

184-Black-ITVM_P1-goldStill in shock from his big win, a Boyds resident was initially speechless about capturing a $50,000 prize on the Maryland Lottery’s $20 Black scratch-off game.

The lucky player from a rural area of Montgomery County purchased the scratch-off on a Sunday, just for fun, at Milestone Beer & Wine & Deli located at 21030-D Frederick Road in Germantown. He was drawn to the game because he recently had luck playing a similar ticket in another state. He never imagined he’d win $50,000!

“I can’t express what I am feeling right now,” said the winner as he claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. “It still seems so unreal.”

The winner plans to save his prize for the future and continue playing scratch-offs games when that lucky feeling hits him. The Black scratch game has three top prizes of $1 million waiting for discovery at Maryland Lottery retailers along with four $50,000 prizes and numerous smaller prizes.
