Player claims top prize on $5 scratch-off
A Hampstead mom did far better than double her $5 investment in the Double Your Money instant ticket. The lucky Lottery player just claimed one of the instant ticket’s $50,000 top prizes at Maryland Lottery headquarters.
The game, which joined the Lottery lineup on Feb. 22, has prizes starting at $10 to double a player’s return on the game’s purchase price. Although there are a number of ways to win on this instant ticket, the 40-year-old Carroll County resident did so by finding her match to the winning number 6 on the first row of the game’s play area. Beneath the 6 was the $50,000 prize!
Lottery retailer Hampstead Liquors has something to celebrate, too! The Carroll County business located at 720 Hanover Pike in Hampstead will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
Maryland Lottery players are winning big every day so get in on the fun. The $5 Double Your Money scratch-off still has one $50,000 top prize remaining along with five $5,000 prizes and nearly 300,000 prizes of $10 to $1,000.
