Finds lucky Neon x20 ticket in Silver Spring
A Montgomery County construction worker is thanking heaven for the Maryland Lottery scratch-off he found at a Silver Spring 7-Eleven. The Neon x20 instant ticket gave him his biggest win ever – a $10,000 prize.
The 58-year-old, who is a loyal Lottery player, bought a Neon x20 scratch-off because he wanted to try his luck with a different ticket. His previous record win was $1,000, he said. The Takoma Park resident scratched the $10 instant ticket in the store, which is located at 650 E. University Boulevard in Silver Spring. He was “very happy” but kept quiet when he realized the size of his prize.
“There were a lot of people there,” he said.
The father of one came with his adult son to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim his prize. There are still plenty of winning tickets remaining in this game, including three $100,000 top prizes, four $20,000 prizes and seven more $10,000 prizes. The Neon x20 scratch-off arrived in Maryland stores in May.
