Harford County man felt lucky enough to keep playing
A Forest Hill scratch-off fan who decided not to stop buying games until he reached crazy number eight found $10,000 worth of success with his final selection – a 100x The Cash instant ticket.
On the first round, “Pop Pop” bought four All Cash No Taxes scratch offs at the Royal Farms in Monkton. He handed a winning ticket to the cashier and reinvested the prize into the purchase of three of The Big 10 Ticket game. He won again, added some cash and bought his eighth ticket, the $20 100X The Cash scratch-off.
The 69-year-old won $10,000! “The next time I walked back into the store,” the grandfather said he told the clerk, “You cannot cash this one, but may I borrow a pen, please.”
The retiree immediately signed the back of his winning instant ticket. As he walked back to his car, his daughter surprised him with a phone call. He shared the news of his winnings with her, and then received a called from his wife! Pop Pop has only shared the news of his good fortune with them. He plans to pay off his car with his prize money.
His lucky ticket hailed from Royal Farms #88 located at 3209 Jarrettsville Pike in Harford County.
