Wins with Triple Green Crossword scratch-off
A Frederick woman who loves the Maryland Lottery’s extended-play scratch-off games found the nine words she needed to become a $10,000 Triple Green Crossword winner!
The 68-year-old Lottery fan went to the A-1 Mart located at 649 Himes Avenue in Frederick to purchase her midday numbers. Following her routine, the loyal player also picked up a bingo scratch-off and the $5 Triple Green Crossword game. She took them home so she could enjoy playing her games.
“I like the idea of scratching the whole ticket,” she said, “and I can take my time.”
The Triple Green Crossword scratch-off winner who calls herself the “Crossword Queen” took her instant ticket back to the store to find out the size of her prize. The retailer delivered the good news and the “Crossword Queen” spent the rest of the weekend not resting at all! Because she had car trouble, she had to wait on Monday for her niece to bring her to Lottery headquarters to claim the prize. “Crossword Queen” plans to use the prize to pay bills.
The Triple Green Crossword game went on sale this summer and still has all six of its $50,000 top prizes awaiting discovery along with 11 unclaimed $10,000 prizes.
