Wins $50,000 prize on ticket sold in Montgomery County store
Although nobody won the Powerball jackpot on Saturday, July 27, one lucky out-of-state player who crossed the border to buy his ticket in Maryland took home a $50,000 prize.
The anonymous winner’s ticket matched four numbers plus the Power Ball, missing the jackpot by only one number. Since his win, the 53-year-old Delaware resident has told only one person.
The hospital worker isn’t sure what he is going to do with his windfall, but is considering a vacation. The Rehoboth Beach resident found his Lottery luck at 7-Eleven #23706 located at 3507 University Blvd. West in Kensington.
The Powerball jackpot is still on a roll and reached $67 million for the Wednesday, Aug. 8 drawing. It carries a cash option of $46.5 million.
