Latest win is $25,000 top prize Star Bingo scratch-off
A Delaware man who’s crossed the state line to play Maryland Lottery scratch-offs for about a decade just found a $25,000 winning Star Bingo scratch-off!
The Dover resident visits a Maryland Lottery retailer each week to buy his Multi-Match tickets and scratch-offs. The 67-year-old frequents a variety of retailers because he and his wife travel a lot to visit their two grandchildren, who live in Delaware, or to fly in and out of Baltimore-Washington International Airport for trips. The Lottery’s $3 bingo scratch-offs are his game of choice because they keep delivering small wins, said the father of one adult daughter.
“I’ve been playing the $3 bingos for a while,” he said. The Lottery’s $3 Star Bingo game, which launched in May, offers players the chance to win on four bingo cards per scratch-off. Our out-of-state player picked up his $25,000 winning scratch-off at the Greensboro Quick Shop in Caroline County.
“It’s an unbelievable win on a $3 ticket,” he said.
The happy Kent County resident has no immediate plans for his win, other than putting it into the move he and his wife are making as they downsize to a smaller home in Delaware.
For selling the top-prize ticket in the Star Bingo game, the lucky Greensboro Quick Shop is also a winner. The retailer located at 13760 Greensboro Road will receive a $250 bonus from the Lottery.
