District Heights Retailer Sells $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Ticket

35th top-tier ticket sold in 2015

Happy Winner Wednesday, Bonus Match 5 players! The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player holding a $50,000 winning ticket from the Tuesday, Nov. 2 drawing. Black Ribeye at 611 Marlboro Pike in District Heights sold the winning ticket, which is the second top-prize ticket sold this week.

Check your ticket to see if it matches the lucky numbers of 4, 6, 12, 27 and 35; the Bonus Ball was 1. Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The lucky player has 182 days to claim the prize and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

The retailer is also a winner; the Lottery will give the store a bonus of $500 for selling the top-prize ticket.

Here’s another bit of luck – this win occurred during the Lottery’s Bonus Match 5 Doubler and Taxes Paid promotions running through Nov. 15. Winning tickets with “Doubler” printed on them pay $100,000 rather than $50,000. And, taxes are paid on all winning tickets worth $50,000 or $100,000!

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
