Double Cash Scratch-off Win Leaves Man Speechless

Lucky Construction Worker - Double Cash

A rainy day doesn’t always mean a dreary one!

Construction worker captures $100,000 top prize

Many construction workers despise rainy days because they can’t work but a Glenarden man was pleased with Monday’s weather. True, he couldn’t perform his construction job due to the downpours but he also didn’t have to tell his boss he needed time off to come to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

Everything worked out perfectly because he plans to keep his $100,000 win on a Double Cash scratch-off ticket top secret!

“I play different scratch-offs all the time,” said the 42-year-old, noting that his wins were small ones in the past. An avid Keno and Racetrax player as well, he twice won $100 playing Keno. This win, though, has him speechless. He’s not sure how he’ll spend the winnings but plans to tell no one about his good fortune other than his brother and his wife. “She’s very happy,” he said.
