Still in disbelief, Donald Richardson and his wife of 13 years made the trip to Lottery headquarters to claim a $77,777 top prize on the Supreme 7’s scratch-off. The 35-year-old North Beach man was talking on the phone with his boss when he discovered his fortune. On their way to work every morning, Donald and his co-workers at Public Works for Chesapeake Beach each purchase scratch-offs. This time he chose to play Supreme 7’s.
“I actually had a dream last night that I won a huge amount of money from a scratch-off,” said Richardson. As his dream appeared to become reality in his truck, he nudged his co-worker to make sure he was seeing the right numbers.
With his winnings, Donald plans to buy his wife a new Chevrolet Tahoe to ensure plenty of room for their four sons. The lucky winner also plans to take a trip to Florida and to pay some bills. The winning ticket was purchased at Twin Beach Convenient Store, located at 8426 Bayside Rd. in Chesapeake Beach.
