Dundalk Resident Wins $50,000 Scratch-off Prize

Claims top prize on Diamonds & Gold Doubler game

A Baltimore county resident stopped for coffee one recent morning and walked out of the 7-Eleven store $50,000 richer.

“I had an extra five bucks in my pocket, so I decided to buy a ticket,” said the 64-year-old man.  “As I began to scratch the ticket, I noticed the number 36 was a match.  I scratched the amount, saw the $50,000, and could hardly believe my eyes.”

The lucky winner, whose son accompanied him to Lottery headquarters, does not have any specific plans for his windfall. For now, he plans on saving his prize.  He told Lottery officials that he will continue playing his favorite Lottery games.

The Lottery retailer who sold the winning ticket, 7-Eleven at 6314 Eastern Ave. in Baltimore, wins too. For selling the winning ticket, they will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery. The Diamonds & Gold Doubler game still has five $50,000 top-prizes remaining.
