While on his way home from work, the 57-year-old took that prize and purchased another $100,000 Gold Rush instant ticket at 7-Eleven #33075. The retailer is located at 3508 Philadelphia Road in Abingdon.

“It’s my favorite ticket to play,” he said. “It seems like I’ve always won money on it; $50 here, $100 there, but never this much. This is absolutely incredible.”

The excited winner said he scratched his ticket while sitting in his car in the 7-Eleven parking lot. “You can imagine my shock as I’m scratching the ticket,” he said. “Even though I’ve won a lot playing this ticket, I never imagined I’d be winning this much.”

He plans to spend his prize on bills, put some money into his savings account and go on a vacation with his wife of 30 years.

The $100,000 Gold Rush scratch-off, which is part of a family of scratch-off games, still has four $100,000 top prizes awaiting discovery at Maryland Lottery retailers. There are also seven more $20,000 winning tickets, 17 $1,000 winners and thousands of others in stores.
