Happy winners take home $100,000 prize
What would you do with $100,000? A husband and wife from Elkridge are deciding just that after claiming a $100,000 top prize on the Maryland Lottery’s $10 scratch-off, The Big $10 Ticket. Guillermo Jimenez and Raquel Camargo Ramirez purchased three of the game’s scratch-offs from their local 7-Eleven and couldn’t believe their Lottery luck.
Guillermo and his 26-year-old wife scratched off the games. The lucky 30-year-old husband found the winning scratch-off.
“I just was in so much shock,” said the AT&T employee. “I immediately took it back to the store to confirm it.” The cashier did just that and the happy couple, along with family member Fabiola Jimenez, happily claimed their prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
The parents of two children ages 7 and 8 months, Guillermo and Raquel have no initial plans for their windfall. “We are still so surprised,” said Guillermo. “We’ll just put it in the bank for now.”
Their lucky 7-Eleven is also a winner. For selling a top-prize scratch-off in the game, the Elkridge store located at 6590 Old Waterloo Road will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery. The Big $10 Ticket game is still packed with unclaimed prizes. There are four $100,000 top prizes remaining, 22 unclaimed $10,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
