Employee of the Year Takes Home Huge Win

Wins $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Prize

Kenneth Kosh - Bonus Match 5Yesterday was a big day for 57-year-old Kenneth Kosh from Baltimore. Not only did he find out he was selected as employee of the year, he also found out he won $50,000 playing Bonus Match 5.

The winner was playing his numbers like he normally does when the cashier made a mistake with the tickets. “Instead of giving me just one Bonus Match 5 ticket, he gave me three,” he said. “Instead of giving them back, I kept them.” He found out he had winners when he went back yesterday to play his daily numbers. Scanning the tickets revealed they were all winners, but the third ticket had a different message. “It read ‘see a Lottery attendant,’ but I didn’t know what it meant,” said Kenneth.  It was the retailer that informed him that it meant he was $50,000 richer.

Kenneth rushed home to tell his wife the good news, leaving behind two other tickets that were $2 and $15 wins which he retrieved later. In addition to the good news about his win, the University of Maryland Medical Center employee found out that he was selected as employee of the year for the Community Psychiatry Department. “It is so amazing,” said the lucky player. “I would see those winners on your website holding their checks, and it gave me hope that someday it would happen to me.

Kenneth, who is the grandfather-of-11, said he is going to save some of the winnings for Christmas, use a portion to pay off bills and take a vacation. The winning ticket was purchased at US Gas, located at 1463 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
