Progressive top prize produces game’s largest prize to date
For the fourth time since the FAST PLAY category of games debuted last month, a lucky Maryland Lottery player bought a progressive top-prize Lucky Numbers winning ticket. This prize, worth $250,975, is the largest of the four wins. The Lucky Numbers game still has 36 progressive top-prizes remaining.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rodman’s Discount Store located at 4301 Randolph Road in Silver Spring. The lucky retailer will earn a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket.
Lottery officials recommend the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize at Lottery headquarters located at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore. The Claims Center is operating under abbreviated hours, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
The three other Lucky Numbers top-prize winners are:
- 11: Anonymous Eastern Shore woman claims $117,626 prize.
- 25: Fred Nash of Edgewood claims $207,611 prize.
- 26: Anonymous Baltimore County man claims $102,303 prize.
Lucky Numbers is one of five FAST PLAY games that went on sale statewide on Feb. 10. FAST PLAY is a new Maryland Lottery product featuring instant-win games that are printed by Lottery terminals and self-service vending machines but play like scratch-offs. Also in the lineup are the $1 Piggy Bank Bucks, $2 Cherry Twist, $3 Treasure Chase and $5 Hit $250 games.
The $10 Lucky Numbers game features a progressive top prize, which starts at $100,000 and increases with the purchase of each ticket until a top-prize-winning ticket is sold. The top prize amount is updated every 15 minutes on in-store video displays and on mdlottery.com, and an up-to-the-minute figure is displayed on Lucky Numbers tickets.
