Brand new game produces first big winner
Talk about a fast win! Just two days after the launch of the new FAST PLAY category of games, a lucky player bought a $117,626 winning ticket in the Lucky Numbers progressive top-prize game.
Salisbury was certainly one of the luckiest locations in Maryland yesterday! The winning Lucky Numbers top-prize ticket sold at 7-Eleven #23767 came on the same day as a $1,000-a-day-for-life Cash4Life win, also in Salisbury, at Winter Place Market located at 6731 Hobbs Road.
Lottery officials recommend both winners sign the back of their lucky tickets and keep them in a safe place until they can claim their prize at Lottery headquarters located at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.
Lucky Numbers is one of five FAST PLAY games that went on sale statewide on Feb. 10. FAST PLAY is a new Maryland Lottery product with games that are printed by Lottery terminals and self-service vending machines but play like scratch-offs. Also in the lineup are the $1 Piggy Bank Bucks, $2 Cherry Twist, $3 Treasure Chase and $5 Hit $250 games.
The lucky retailer that sold the winning FAST PLAY ticket also has a reason to celebrate. The 7-Eleven store located at 516 Spring Hill Road earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket.
