Winning ticket stored in pocketbook
A Glen Burnie woman experienced a delayed Lottery surprise after discovering the scratch-off stashed deep in her pocketbook carried a $10,000 prize! The lucky ticket was a $3 Instant Keno scratch-off that she purchased and scratched a few weeks ago without registering the thrilling win.
The 73-year-old retired health care professional reports having a feeling about the lucky instant ticket when she saw it at the ShopRite in Glen Burnie. Although she scratched it off soon after making her purchase, the winner merely glanced at it before putting it away in her purse. Weeks later, when she rediscovered the forgotten scratch-off, the numbers on the bottom of the ticket seemed to jump out at her and revealed nine matches.
The Anne Arundel County resident plans to use her $10,000 prize to pay bills. She won the first $10,000 prize in the $3 game, which still has all four $30,000 top prizes remaining and nine more $10,000 prizes at Lottery retailers. The Instant Keno scratch-off offers players six chances to win cash or a Free ($1 value) 4-spot ticket for the Lottery’s Keno monitor game.
Our winner found her Lottery luck at ShopRite located at 6710 Governor Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
