Fort Washington Landscaper Rakes in $50,000 Scratch-off Prize

Purchased top-prize winning Double Dice Lottery ticket in Morningside

Double DiceA Fort Washington landscaper is still making hay about a winning Maryland Lottery scratch-off he purchased last week. The lucky landscaper bought a $5 Double Dice scratch-off on his way to work and didn’t know until that evening he had raked in the $50,000 top prize.

He scratched the winning ticket when he returned home from work. Revealing the winning numbers on the play area, he then saw that his numbers matched five numbers on the ticket and realized that each number was worth $10,000.

The dedicated worker placed his first call to his employer. “I told my boss that I was going to be a little late, but I’m going straight back to work after I claim my prize,” said the winner. He plans to spend the jackpot on home and auto expenses. After paying those bills, the down-to-earth man may remodel his kitchen.

He bought the winning ticket at the Exxon gas and convenience store located at 6500 Suitland Road in Morningside. The Double Dice ticket went on sale in May and, following this win, still has three remaining $50,000 top-prizes in the stores.
