Bought lucky ticket in Feb. 26 drawing at local convenience store
Congratulations to a lucky Powerball player from Prince George’s County who claimed a $50,000 prize in the Feb. 26 drawing.
The 56-year-old won the third-tier prize with a $10 quick-pick ticket he purchased at Stop & Shop Convenience Mart at 8500 Allentown Road in Fort Washington. He is one of 14 Marylanders who have won third-tier Powerball prizes this year and was one of 10 third-tier winners nationwide in the Feb. 26 drawing. That jackpot, and those that followed, kept rolling without a big winner. Wednesday’s jackpot is set for $110 million with a cash option of $88.1 million.
The Fort Washington man claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters on March 9.
