Two lucky instant tickets delight lucky player
The manager of a Frederick building and lumber company just nailed a big Maryland Lottery win after visiting a Frederick County convenience store and buying not one but two lucky scratch-offs.
Craig Clark bought a $100 Grand scratch-off and $30 $2,000,000 Fortune instant ticket at Sheetz #242 located at 1600 Rosemont Avenue in Frederick. After coming home late from date night with his wife, the 61-year-old decided to scratch off the instant tickets. The evening certainly ended with a big surprise! First, Craig won $30 on the $2,000,000 Fortune game and followed up with a $20,000 win on the $10 $100 Grand scratch-off.
“I thought to myself, how could I continue to be this lucky?” said the happy Frederick resident. “I strolled upstairs to share the good news with my wife. I said to her, ‘Look at this ticket, look at the number 34, I just won $20,000!’ ” After carefully examining the scratch-off, she began shouting with excitement, he said.
The Clarks are in the middle of home improvement projects and plan to put the prize toward those bills. Many prizes remain on both scratch-offs, which carry top prizes of $100,000 and $2 million. Visit mdlottery.com for details.
