A lucky Frederick County resident is all set to celebrate the Fourth of July in style, thanks to her $50,002 winning ticket in the June 27 Bonus Match 5 drawing.
The 80-year-old claimed her prize on July 3 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. She paid $6 for nine lines of numbers that she picked herself. On the last line of her ticket, she matched all five of the winning numbers that were drawn on June 27: 6, 15, 22, 28 and 35, and that delivered a $50,000 top prize. Two lines above that, she matched two of those numbers and the Bonus Ball number (26), for an additional $2 win.
The Frederick woman found her Lottery luck at A-1 Mart located at 649 Himes Avenue in Frederick. For selling a top-prize winning ticket in the daily game, the store earns a $500 bonus from the Lottery.
If you’ve got Bonus Match 5 tickets that you haven’t checked from drawings in February, May or June, be sure to pull them out and look at winning numbers for those drawings. The Maryland Lottery is still looking for the lucky players who have $50,000-winning tickets in the Feb. 18, May 22 and June 20 drawings.
The winning ticket on Feb. 18 was sold at Liberty Sunoco located at 7409 Liberty Road in Lochearn. A $50,002 winning ticket from the May 22 drawing was sold at Central City Liquors at 401 West Washington Street in Hagerstown. The June 20 drawing also has an unclaimed top prize from a ticket sold at Riverdale BP located at 5500 Kenilworth Avenue in Riverdale.
These three winners have 182 days from the dates of those drawings to claim their prizes and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
