Claims top prize on Winter Cash Tripler game
While the winter of 2020 has left Maryland snow lovers with little to cheer about, a loyal Maryland Lottery scratch-off fan just got hit with a blizzard of bucks.
The Gaithersburg man bought two Winter Cash Tripler scratch-offs recently and, to his amazement, Lottery luck was in the air. The 43-year-old landed one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes on one of the tickets he purchased at Chapel Beer and Wine in Germantown.
The “Winning Carpenter,” said he doesn’t follow a routine when selecting and playing scratch-offs, so he had no special reason for selecting the $10 game. He also doesn’t routinely scratch his tickets right away. “Sometimes I buy them based on the color,” said the married father of four. This time, the “Winning Carpenter” took his two Winter Cash Tripler games home to enjoy.
When he revealed the prize, his astonished comment was, “Really?” His wife thought he was joking until he showed her the lucky ticket. Because he’s not certain yet of his plans for the prize, the “Winning Carpenter” planned to put the windfall in the bank.
Chapel Beer and Wine is a winner as well. The Lottery retailer located at 19737 Frederick Road in Germantown earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.
Plenty of prizes remain in the Winter Cash Tripler game. Players can try to seek their own blizzard of bucks with this scratch-off, which still has two unclaimed $100,000 top prizes and 11 remaining $10,000 prizes.
