Gaithersburg Man Finds $50,000 Prize on Lottery Scratch-off

Seeing multiples after 50X The Cash win

A Montgomery County player is seeing multiples since his dramatic win on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off. The key feature of his 50X The Cash instant ticket was the 50X multiplier that helped the 32-year-old pocket a $50,000 prize.

The Gaithersburg resident bought the winning scratch-off at his local 7-Eleven #28813, which is located at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg in Montgomery County. When he scratched off the instant ticket, the player revealed a 50X emblem in the last row. The winner uncovered a $1,000 prize that multiplied his big win into $50,000.

The 50X The Cash scratch-off, which launched in January, features prizes from $10 to $100,000. This win is the fourth $50,000 prize won on the $10 scratch-off. Six of the game’s $100,000 top prizes are still up for grabs. With this win, eight of the game’s $50,000 prizes remain. The 50X The Cash scratch-off belongs to a family of X  Multiplier games. The five games —5X The Cash, 10X The Cash, 20X The Cash, 50X The Cash and 100X The Cash — offer “Xtra Xciting” ways to win instant prizes of up to $1 million and second-chance prizes of up to $50,000. The final second-chance drawing is April 28.
