Another Multi-Match Jackpot Remains Unclaimed
A Rockville woman will be able to live a little more comfortably thanks to a Quick Pick Multi-Match ticket. The 75-year-old matched all six numbers to win the $500,000 jackpot on April 22nd. The winner chose the $250,000 cash option.
“You see other winners and you think that this could never happen to you,” said the grandmother-of-four and great-grandmother of one. “When I looked at my ticket and saw the matching numbers, I said ‘did this really happen to me?’”
The winner’s son said that when his mother told him about the win, he tried to make it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. “She’s had some heart problems and I didn’t want her to lose her breath,” he said.
The lucky lady, who works part-time, plans to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchild a little more after her win. She’s also planning on doing something special for herself, but she’s keeping that a secret. “She won’t even tell us,” her son told Lottery officials. The winning ticket was purchased at Hungerford Beer & Wine, located at 761 Hungerford Dr. in Rockville.
A $700,000 Multi-Match winning jackpot ticket from the April 19th drawing remains unclaimed. That ticket was purchased at Sterling Liquors, located at 196 German Hill Rd. in Dundalk. Multi-Match drawings can be seen on WBAL-TV Channel 11 on Mondays and Thursdays at 11:22 pm.
